Rebecca Cummins
Senior Physiotherapist
Rebecca is our Senior Physiotherapist whom is passionate and enthusiastic about supporting her people maximise their mobility and independence. Rebecca completed her degree at The University of Notre Dame, is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, is trained in Pilates, dry needling and mental health supports.
Rebecca believes a well rounded approach to therapy is most important, blending massage, exercise and education to achieve the best outcomes. She has a special interest in supporting clients managing, stroke rehabilitation, amputations, pre and post operative rehabilitation and neurological conditions. She is experienced working within the NDIS and ICWA sectors.
Lisa
Senior Physiotherapist
Lisa is our senior Physiotherapist with a caring, energetic and vibrant personality. Having graduated from University College Dublin with a first class Honours degree in 2011, she gained an internship alongside a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in Dublin. Here she gained vast experience in back and neck pain, musculoskeletal injuries and chronic pain management.
Lisa is a Clinical Pilates instructor who’s passion is hard to match! She has further interests and extensive experience in women’s health issues and chronic pain, and approaches the treatment of her patients holistically with a variety of techniques ranging from manual therapy and myofascial release, to dry needling and massage and specific functional exercise prescription.
Luke
Senior physiotherapists
Luke is one of our Senior physiotherapists with a kind and understanding demeanour. His passion for helping others get the most out of life drives him. He completed his degree at the University of Notre Dame.
Luke’s years of experience have provided him with a well rounded knowledge on neck and lower back pain, headaches and migraines, sporting injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation. He also has a special interest in neurological conditions such as stroke and Parkinson’s disease.
Luke has developed a well rounded approach incorporating exercise, education and hands on therapy to help his clients with their physiotherapy goals. He believes that by not just treating the condition, but treating the person as a whole, better physical and mental health outcomes are achieved.
Megan
Senior Physiotherapist
Megan is a Senior Physiotherapist with over 20 years experience supporting people of all ages living with a wide range of disabilities.
Megan has worked in Early Intervention, with school-aged children, on a specialist adolescent Team and more recently has run specialist Lower limb and Spinal clinics for children and adults of all ages at one of Perth’s largest Disability providers.
With two young children of her own, Megan is passionate about supporting families to integrate therapy seamlessly into the chaos of daily life, and about always making Physio play-based and fun (for kids and also adults!).
Megan is experienced in using a wide range of assessments, and is confident in hydrotherapy, exercise prescription, supporting children to be included at Daycare and school, serial casting, post-Botox and post-surgery rehab, and the prescription and adjustment of complex equipment where required.
Megan is an outside-the-box thinker who enjoys problem solving and finding creative solutions to improve the quality of life of her clients.
Caoimhe
Physiotherapist
Caoimhe graduated from the University of Limerick. From here she entered the graduate programme in the Sports Surgery Clinic in Dublin, where she gained valuable experience in sporting injuries, strength training, and post-operative physiotherapy care. She has vast experience in private practice in Ireland and Australia.
Caoimhe is trained in Pilates and dry needling. She is passionate about strength training for all ages, and ran a successful ‘Strength Training for Over 55’s’ class while working in Ireland. Caoimhe incorporates a holistic approach to her treatment sessions, including hands-on therapies, exercise prescription, education and mindfulness/mental wellbeing strategies. She is focused on the ‘bigger picture’ when it comes to physiotherapy interventions, and improving her client’s overall wellbeing and function day-to-day is the cornerstone of her treatments.
Caoimhe is a kind and empathetic person, yet firm and driven to help her clients achieve their best results. She currently provides supports to her clients at TherapyWA managing an array of conditions, including Stroke, Multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease.
Rae
Physiotherapist
Rae, is a dedicated physiotherapist with a rich background in both community and acute care settings. A proud graduate of Curtin University, Rae embarked on her career in Western Australia’s community disability sector before expanding her expertise to Queensland’s disability and aged care fields. Her most recent experience in acute hospital settings has honed her skills in helping patients regain mobility, with a keen focus on safety and well-being as they transition back to their communities.
Rae is not only trained in Pilates but also has a strong passion for strength training, catering to individuals of all ages and abilities. When she’s not working, you’ll find Rae immersed in her own resistance training, running, or playing for her local football club the Kalamunda Cougars. Her beloved rescue greyhound, Patrick, also enjoys beach outings with Rae, adding joy to her personal life.
At TherapyWA, Rae combines her warmth and compassion with her extensive knowledge to empower her clients and help them achieve their physiotherapy goals. She specialises in managing conditions such as age-related functional decline, and Parkinson’s disease. Rae is always striving to support her clients with personalised care, understanding and dedication.
Sarah
Paediatric physiotherapist
Sarah brings over six years of experience in paediatric physiotherapy. Sarah’s vast experience in this field brings a deep understanding of the physical needs of children and adults living with disabilities. Sarah has experience working in various paediatric disability settings, and this career path has led to a dedication to services in supporting infants and children with disabilities and those experiencing developmental delays.
Most recently, Sarah has worked in the acute hospital setting, helping patients regain mobility with a focus on their safety and well-being as they prepare to leave the hospital. Her passion for paediatric physiotherapy goes beyond physical development; Sarah appreciates the complexity of various developmental areas and incorporates this holistic view into her practice. Collaboration with families is at the heart of Sarah’s approach. She strives to make sure that her interventions and guidance are practical and harmonious with family life.
Outside of her professional life, Sarah’s interests include playing the drums and performing at local venues in Perth when she can. Music brings her immense joy, as does spending time with her beloved Aussie Shepherd, Freddie.
Sarah brings not just her expertise and experience, but also a genuine dedication to the wellbeing and development of children.
Chelsea
Therapy Assistant (Level 2)
Chelsea is a warm and compassionate Therapy Assistant in her final year of a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science at Murdoch University. Once completing her Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, Chelsea will commence a Masters of Physiotherapy to add to her wealth of knowledge. With a deep passion for helping vulnerable populations, Chelsea has a particular interest in working with both children and the elderly, believing in the power of movement and connection to enhance their quality of life.
Growing up in the small town of Carnarvon, Chelsea’s love for sports flourished through competitive swimming, netball and horse riding, shaping her dedication to health and wellbeing. She previously worked as a support worker for three years, specialising in children under the age of 18, and continues her impactful work today at Therapy WA.
Known for her quiet, gentle nature and warm demeanour, Chelsea takes pride in empowering clients to achieve their goals, whether big or small through a holistic, person-centred approach to care.
Zoe
Support Worker
Zoe is one of our fantastic support workers. She is a compassionate and dedicated member of our team who is making a significant impact in the lives of those we serve. Currently pursuing a degree in Speech Pathology, Zoe brings a unique perspective to our support services.
With a passion for communication and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals facing speech and language challenges, Zoe seamlessly combines academic knowledge with hands-on experience. Her journey as a support worker provides invaluable insights into the diverse needs of our clients, fostering a holistic and empathetic approach to care.
Zoe holds an NDIS worker screening check and first aid certificates. Her dedication to continuous learning and personal development ensures that our clients receive the highest standard of support, tailored to their individual needs.
Outside of work, Zoe enjoys hiking, heading to the beach and cooking up a storm.
